Peac 4 maths

Strict embargo: July 21

Steven Chambers, Partner, will be running a number of mathematics lessons at Kelvin Hall Secondary school in September. This is part of Peac's continued commitment to education in all settings. Steven will teach some interesting mathematics on 'Diophantine' equations, which he says will stretch the very brightest students. 'When I was at Kelvin I loved my mathematics lessons, I was lucky to have a great teacher than inspired me to study the subject further.' said Steven early on Monday morning. The courses are designed to push the most able children and help them understand the 'nature of mathematics'. More on this story later in the year.

Strict embargo: July 10 09.00 BST

Peac's new look is to be announced later this week, with the arrival of a complete new web-site which represents the groups new direction, commitment to excellence and all new product range. The revamp coincides with Peac's emphasis on taking all of its core businesses fully online. Details of the Peac's new products will be announced later this week, though it is understood that Peac will be the first fully online retailer to offer some exclusive products from some of Europe's finest design houses. The new web-site has a crisp and easy feel, representing the groups revitalized focus on 'functionality' and service.

'The new site will allow our customers to easily select their products, customize them, and clearly understand what they have ordered or designed before completing a purchase. The new page will be friendly to individuals and corporate buyers, the degree to which customers will be able to customize some items, and how easy it will be to customize items, are two differentiating factors.' said Guy Leaver, Partner and Chief of Technology.
